These sunglasses exceeded my expectations. I used Bolle ski goggles as a kid-- and they were great --and these sunglasses are no exception. I initially ordered the King sunglasses since they are intended for people with large heads...and I have a large cranium. The King sunglasses fit my head well, but I think they would do better for someone with an XL head. I got the Recoil sunglasses with the matte black frame and green mirror lenses on a whim, and I am very glad that I did. They fit my head perfectly, wrap around very well, do not fall off when doing crossfit (outside in Texas heat, sometimes in shade, sometimes in the sun) or jogging at sunset, and are light but strong. I prefer brown and red tinted lenses, and these are brown. They really make subtle terrain contours and colors ( especially red, orange and green) pop out. I also pick up on movement faster with the tinting of these lenses (as in, picking up on a grackle fluttering its wings momentarily while sitting on the fence at the other end of the track, out of the corner of my eye). Some people may care that Bolle may not be owned by Luxottica (the parent company that owns the rights to Ray Ban, Versace, Costa, Oakley, Maui Jim, etc.) I think this is good: Bolle can continue to manufacture great sunglasses and provide a better price relative to its peers because Bolle is not part of the Luxottica monopoly. Oakley refused the first several attempts at takeover by Luxottica, but eventually Luxottica won out. Bolle remains its own company, and is more economically efficient relative to its peers. Note: The anti-fog coating used on the inside of the lenses, is textured. There are no special care instructions or recommendations apart from the common-sense care instructions offered in the literature that comes with the sunglasses. I have found that the textured inside of the lenses is easy to clean with a very soft cotton cloth (like an all-cotton handkerchief). Some people may find this to be annoying or inconvenient, but I don't mind. I'm willing to spend the extra 45 seconds needed to grab a different cleaning cloth to make these sunglasses last. I don't beat up my gear (ever since I was little, I never have), so I have no doubt that these sunglasses will last a long time.About a week ago I lost my Bolle Polarized Anaconda's. I had them for about 5 years, and I LOVED THEM!!!I thought about getting the same ones, but wanted a (slight) change in style. So, I got these.I love these even more than my Anaconda's. The look is more modern with the tapered sides and the curved arms. They are just as light and fit just as great (if not better) than the Anaconda's.My headline mentions the wrong picture. The ones in the picture (at the time I write this review) are the same model year as my old Bolle's. The word "Polarized" is printed on the left lens and the Bolle logo is very large, almost near the center of the top of the left lens.(This was the ONLY thing I didn't like about my old Bolle's. You could see the large logo and writing while wearing them. I constantly thought I saw a bug or something."The Bolle "B" has been updated since the ones in the picture. And, the model in the picture has the old hinges. The model I received has a small version of the new logo in the corner. No "Polarized" on the lens. (It is on the inside of the right arm - to let you know you got the right ones.) The new "B" is in the silver square on each side of the arms. And they use the new "pinless" hinges... which are supposed to last even longer than the old hinges. You can't go wrong with these! These are probably the best sunglasses I've ever owned. I've got a bigger face and need good sized men's glasses, these are perfect. Funny thing is a friend that has a smaller face got these with the turtle (whatever it's called) instead of black and they fit his face well also. If you don't have polarized glasses, get some. You can't begin to explain the difference. If you're ever on water (boating, fishing etc) polarized is an absolute must.I'm big into hunting and boating here in Texas, these Bolle Sport Recoils are absolutely perfect. On the boat or SeaDoo they block the wind really, really well. I also hunt often, on a 4 wheeler or out of the top seat on a hunting buggy these not only block the wind, but they perfectly block the dust out of my eyes as well. I used to never be able to play golf with glasses on, but I wear these the entire round as well. The wrap around coverage keeps me from constantly looking at frames. One big problem I have is that I usually have to wear glasses for a bit to see if they hurt my ears (at the top where they sit on my ear next to my skull). Some make me feel like someone is splitting the skin, these do not, although that's a tough one to judge for other people, but thought I'd mention it.Lastly, I bought my first pair of these locally in Texas and paid over a hundred, a bought a backup pair to keep in my car at all times and Amazon pricing was almost half that, unbeatable from what I found. These are my favorite sunglasses. I'm on my 4th pair. They fit great and lenses are high quality. Warning: After a while, the soft nose pieces fall off. They can be glued back on using any type of cyanoacrylate glue (e.g. super glue). I've had good results using a delay setup gel formula. Now there's a couple of problems with these glasses.1. As stated, the nose pieces fall off at the most inopportune times. The glasses don't have to be very old or used much for this to happen. Over the last 8 years, the manufacturer (Bausch & Lomb) still hasn't corrected the problem.2. Knowing this is a design flaw, B&L should include 2 pairs of spare nose pieces with each pair of glasses but they don't. They expect you to pay $8.00 for 1 pair of replacement pieces. Really, how much can these parts cost B&L to manufacture? $0.05 per pair sounds about right.Fantastic replacement of a previous pair of Bolle Recoil. Great for sailing. Only three stars as not described properly. They do not have gold lenses (as my previous pair, advertised and picture) it is more like a silver finish. No point in returning as they are still a great pair of sunnies.Good sunglasses and effective polarisation but they do fog up which is why I'm not giving 5 stars. They fit well and are stylish so can't fault them there.Brilliant fit, they don't slip! The Polaroid lenses really protect my eyes from bright glare. I bought these to replace a pair I lost, and they were much cheaper than the first pair.Bolle glasses are always very good, these ones are at the cheaper end of the range but great for the priceBuying a second pair. Bought these for my partner a year ago. He loved them. Most comfortable pair he's had. Riding bikes they've become scratched but other than that no problems with them what so ever. Highly recommended.
