Serengeti Cosmopolitan Duccio Polarized Sunglasses for Men & Women - UV Protection Aviator Style - Perfect for Driving, Travel & Outdoor Activities

I have these glasses for about 1.5 years and at first they were great: the lens quality, the light frame. But just a couple of months ago the quality of the lenses started deteriorating and lines, like stretch marks on skin, or stained glass started appearing (see attached photo). It is now absolutely impossible to use the glasses, as you see a total blur through them. I keep my glasses at home, in their case and am very careful not to drop, scratch or leave them outside and only use the supplied cloth to clean them. I have many pairs of glasses and in the past few years Serengeti glasses keep disappointing me, not by their initial lens quality, design or fit, those are impeccable.It is the poor craftsmanship and extremely rapid aging: Lens lose coating and/or get said stretch marks, plastic frames (in plastic frames glasses) tend to lose the paint coating in mere months just by normal wear, holding pins fall off, etc.It's a real shame as older Serengeti models had the legendary Serengeti lens quality, but were also built to last. I still have a glass lens model for over 6 years, and it looks almost as good as the the day I bought it.It is very upsetting that such a brand loses the quality and loses customers. I will not buy Serengetti again after 3 pairs of bad quality.I've had these for two months now... They are not only extremely comfortable to wear, but they also relieve my eyes like nothing I've ever owned before. I usually drive with the morning sun shinning strong on my eyes and blinding me, these glasses make everything crystal clear without "darkening" your sight. This was the main reason why decided to bought a pair of good quality sunglasses, I always bought crappy $3 ones, honestly I'm not disappointed at all in fact im amazed in how good they are.The only thing that I kind of dislike is that they are slightly bigger than I expected, not a big deal to me... But you might want to explore another options if you have a narrow head.I chose these sunglasses because I own a pair of Serengeti Drivers Sunglasses that I have had over the past 19 years. My old glasses which I love got a few scratches so I specifically looked for this brand to replace them with. I searched the web and found these but thought they were a little too expensive. I searched Amazon and found the exact same sunglasses for half the price so I purchased them. I also love my new sunglasses and I was surprised how much lighter they were than my old ones. Because of the style the carrying case is a little bulky but I can live with that. I would definitely recommend these sunglasses to anyone looking for a great pair of Driving Sunglasses.The glasses seemed nice enough; however, I had to return them because they were a bit uncomfortable on my nose.Cant go wrong with Serengeti.Been wearing them and giving them to relatives as gifts for years . Everything looks Vibrant through these.Don't clean with your shirt! These will scratch so easy. Better to wash than rub. Great look and lots of compliments.It is nice but didn't fit for my face shape.Good quality construction. Lens nice to look through.A Little widecomfortable frames, very light, BUT these are NOT the Serengeti drivers lenses, these are 555 (darker) lenses number 7817 - wrongly marked as drivers. If you want the drivers lens then you need to find the 7812.Amazon should adjust the description.Very poor design. When folded the arms of the sunglasses abrade the lenses leaving a "bare" patch on the lens. This occurred over the winter period when they were stored in their case in my car. I am hoping for a refund as it is not the quality of design I expect however as I have had them for a bit more more than 12 months I doubt I will have much luck. Buy Mako sunglasses - expensive but great.I purchased a pair of Serengeti sunglasses many years ago and was extremely please with them.This second pair I am also extremely pleased with.Would highly recommend themStylish with superb lensesVery nice, just wish tint would go a bit lighter indoors.
