Smith Optics Dover Polarized Sunglasses for Men & Women - UV Protection, Lightweight Frame - Perfect for Running, Cycling, and Outdoor Activities

I have worn Costa sunglasses for years but kept hearing good things about Smith Optic's new Chromapop lenses. Two friends who are fishing guides switched to them and praised the polarization and the optical quality. I decided to order a pair and picked the Dover frames to try.These glasses are very well made and come with warranties similar to Costa. The first thing I noticed was how light they are. Even though these are large frames, they do not feel heavy and were very comfortable for all day wear. I like the material that rests on the nose. It is comfortable and held the glasses in place, even when I was sweating.The optics are exceptional. Polarization is at least as good as my Costas and there is no distortion where the lens curves. I have not had them out on the flats yet but look forward to fishing with them.My only disappointment is the frames are really big. Although my wife and kids say they look good, I am not used to wearing such large frames.Even though they were ordered from the US, they did turn up pretty quickly. Packaged well.The optics are great and it all feels pretty sturdy. However, The size is perhaps a little too large and I do find they slip down my nose. It's as if their is no friction / resistance from the material used to make the glasses. Now, keep in mind I don't really have a small head - based on the fact I'm 6'4" tall... So, I've used some grips that attach to the arms of the glasses and then go round my head - so I won't loose them.However, if I look at some of my other glasses, they have dedicated small 'plastic buds' where the bridge of the nose is and this resists slippage.Bought this exact pair of sunglasses several years ago on the recommendation of my eye doctor and they have been the best. So now that it was time to buy another pair, ( wanted an extra pair), I decided to look on Amazon and they are the exact same ones. Very happy.These glasses are wide and high. Meaning I do not see the frames when I am looking out through the glasses. They are that big. I LOVE that! Folks with smaller noses might night get the same fit. They may be too large for some. The quality of the lens was evident from the moment I put them on. Clear, sharp, no distortion. I never find my self squinting when I have these on. Great for everyday use or for active sports. These Dovers Rock !The clarity is incredible! Smith Optics will be my sunglasses of choice always due to their advanced visual clarity. I have had several eye surgeries and am very VERY picky about sunglasses because my vision is so compromised. These sunglasses make all the difference. This particular frame was too large for my face, so I passed them on to my adult daughter. The minute she put them on she exclaimed "Oh my gosh these are incredibly clear!" Haven't seen her one day this summer without them, whether on the boat or in the yard. Expensive but worth every dollar.A good product, Smith Optics makes a good product, its just their customer service, its terrible! I won't purchase any more Smith Optics products due to their terrible customer service. - Not recommended!Best pair of high end sunglasses I've ever owned....and I have had most every quality manufacturer.....I like these in particular over 2 other Smith's, a few Revo's, an my Costa Permit's....truly superb glass lens clarity! I highly recommend for fishing in particular....perfect!I’ve ordered two different sets of these sunglasses both with blue lenses and the first when I got gray lenses the second one I got brown instead of the blue I’m returning these for a set of blue lenses so I hope to get a set of blue lens Smith optics on my return and reorder. I’ve already re-ordered these sunglasses With blue lenses. I hope to get them!
