After many years just bought my second pair of these as the lenses on the first were marked up. Cost more to replace just the lens than to buy a whole pair so 2nd pair was a no brainer. I’m a brevet rider and some of my rides start at 0400 hrs and don’t end until around 2200 or 2300 hrs sometimes with multiple days. It’s important for me to have readers that go from clear to dark so I don’t need to carry more than one pair or fool around with interchanging lenses.Hundreds less than prescription glasses. allow me to read my watch while running.I have an old pair of Tifosi sunglasses (w/o readers) that have lasted years thanks in part to being able to replace the lenses when they become scratched over time--a wonderful feature of some sunglasses. But I really wanted a pair of sunglasses that not only had readers but also would adjust from clear to dark with changing light so I had high hopes for these Tifosi Veloce Reader Sunglasses. Unfortunately, these seem to be designed for large faces and didn't fit my oval, average-sized face (I'm female)--they literally fell off when I put them on. Likely because they are too large for my face, the readers are not in an optimum position for me. I had to return them but hope I can find a Tifosi style that fits my face since I've had such a good experience with my other Tifosi sunglasses (Wisp style I think which I don't thing comes with readers or chromatic lenses). If you have larger face, these are worth considering.I have two pairs of these glasses. One for bike riding and one for horseback riding. The glasses darking enough so that I don't get eye fatigue even in the middle of the day, and when I ride into the shade, I can still see. I also use these for night riding in the winter. It is really nice to not have to switch glasses when I ride to work in daylight and ride home in the dark. The readers are really helpful when you are trying to find the pin hole that caused a flat, and they don't get in the way when you are riding.I have a couple of Tifosi glasses with readers, but I was really looking for cycling glasses I could wear as the sun was going down. These photo chromatic lenses are perfect for the change from dusk to night riding. Readers section allows me to get a clear view of my bike computer. Wrap around is so much better that switching to my tiny prescription glasses that don’t block wind. Highly recommended!I mainly use these glasses (1.5X) for trail and road running, kayaking, and road and mountain biking. I chose these because I wanted a lens that transitioned so I could wear them in varying light conditions, and not have to have more than 1 set of sunglasses. I have a pair of Tifosi Tyrants also with the same Fototec lenses minus the reader, so I knew how they would be.Pluses would be that I can wear them in varying light conditions, the reader works, and they look okay. I'd be happy if the amount of light filtering changed more rapidly when going from full sun to shade, but it is what it is they are still very usable. The glasses are a bit large for my head, and they bob around on my face when I run, but I think I can adjust that out I just haven't tried yet.Overall I would recommend these glasses. I bought these specifically because they still let in enough light during full darkness that with a headlamp I can still see my watch and the trail, yet they get adequately dark enough during the day to cut the glare of bright sunlight. If you have trouble seeing in the dark and need a lot of light, or if you need more blocking during full sunlight these might not be for you. However if you do activities during normal daylight hours where you need the reader and go from light to shade these are great. These cycling glasses adjust to the light and have reader installed. I can wear them with or without contact lenses and see great. They are lightweight and very comfortable.....These work for what I bought them - evening bicycle rides racing the darkness home.Don't expect "sunglasses" - these just give you a "tint" to knock a little of the glare down and clear up nicely when the sun hides. We thought we had ordered transition lens but the glasses that arrived were not transition. Wer andere Modelle kennt, bitte mitteilen. Danke.I had previously bought a pair of the fototec and a pair of the regular sunglasses, both with the readers. Both work flawlessly. Some reviewers mention that the readers seem too small or too low in the lenses. It is true that they are a bit low for regular reading, but they are perfectly positioned for viewing your bike computer and cell phone apps. My wife tried my Tifosi's and so we ordered the fototec readers for her as well.I ordered a power slightly too strong but only slightly. I can read my watch while I'm out on a run now easily.Tellement efficace
